merci Caroline.

it's a lovely story that I'm going to tell you, an encounter that means a lot to me.
In 2002 freshly graduated, I started creating small hand-made accessories and soft toys for a children's boutique Notsobig in the 2nd arrondissement in Paris.
Caroline, who lived nearby, regularly came into the boutique to look at children's clothes.

Then one day, she asked for my details wanting me to design a birth announcement card for her first baby : Adèle. This was my very first commission !!!!
I can remember trembling in the hall of her appartment block clutching my drawings and not knowing whether she would like them ...
Since then Rose was born in 2005, and in June this year, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message from Caroline announcing the birth of Prune !

I created original birth announcement cards using a collage technique for each of the girls which are now on the wall above their beds.

I was really moved to see what pretty little girls they have become ...

Thank you Caroline.

I hadn't found the time to post a message about the screen printing I did at the artists' studio in Les Lilas .... this goes back to the month of May just before the Super Market
Christelle Enault, a friend who is an illustrator and also an expert in screen printing, helped me to get back down to the basics.
I printed several meters of material with my Doll designs. This really took me back a few years (I studied screen printing when I was a student in textile design at Olivier de Serres ...)
I worked non stop for two days, I'd forgotten how patient and methodical one has to be before arriving at the final result.
My good old mum then made some pretty cushions ... I promise I'll show you them soon.
