Sweat shop

après avoir dévalisé une vente de vêtements Vintage (avec des mini-mini prix... rue de l'aqueduc, paris 10) dont une jolie robe bleue à pois mais un peu trop grande,
je me suis dit que c'était l'occasion idéale d'aller découvrir le nouveau concept Sweat shop.
un café couture où l'on peut prendre un verre et déguster de délicieux gâteaux fait maison (par Bob's juice bar d'a coté !)
et oui !! un lieu conviviale où toutes celles qui n'ont pas de machine à coudre peuvent se retrouver.
grace aux conseils de Benedicte, une étudiante en stylisme qui avait investie le lieu pour préparer sa collection, j'ai réussi à ajuster comme une pro ma petite robe!


Following a shopping spree at a sale of vintage clothes (mini prices .... rue de l'aqueduc, paris 10) I found a cute dress in blue with dots but which was a little bit too big for me ... I thought it was the ideal occasion to go and discover the new concept Sweat shop.
A café where you can sew, have something to drink and eat delicious home made cakes (from Bob's juice bar next door)
and even more !! a friendly place to get together for those of you who haven't got a sewing machine at home.
Thanks to Benedicte, a student in design, who came there to prepare her collection, I was able to take in my little dress like a professional !

Takeshi Kitano - gosse de peinture

Samedi après midi, d'un coup de mobylette je suis allée faire un tour à la fondation Cartier.
Déjà fan des films de Takeshi Kitano, j'étais curieuse de découvrir le reste de son univers.
Je conseille l'exposition à tous les adultes qui ont gardé leurs âmes d'enfants!
On y découvre ses tableaux, ses émissions TV complètement déjantées....
Mais chut... Courez-y!


On Saturday afternoon, I dashed off on my moped to the Cartier foundation.

Already a fan of Takeshi Kitano, I was curious to discover the rest of his universe.
I would recommend the exhibition to all adults who have remained a child at heart !

You'll discover his paintings, his completely mad TV shows ....

But hush ... go there quickly !

4 jours à Genève

à l'origine j'accompagnais mon amie chanteuse au festival "voix de fête" plein de concerts dans les bars de Genève. Rien n'aurait été pareil si je n'avais pas rencontré Cil, une illustratrice gènevoise, qui nous a accueilli pour quelques jours dans "sa maison". Elle vit dans le centre ville, dans un petit immeuble d'anciens ateliers d'artistes réaménagés et elle partage avec les autres locataires un appartement où nous avons logé. Elle nous a donné plein de bonnes adresses!
Parmi lesquelles, un lieu unique : le Bain des Paquis.... pour ceux qui connaissent c'est le paradis, une extension sur le lac près du jet, une sorte de plage avec un hamman et la meilleure fondue au champagne.


Originally I was accompanying my friend a singer to a festival "voix de fête" comprising of a series of concerts in different bars in Geneva. Nothing would have been the same if I hadn't previously met Cil, an illustrator from Geneva who invited us to spend a few days with her. She lives in the town center in a small block of flats made up of artists' studios which have been refurbished and where she shares one of the flats with the other tenants in which we were able to stay. She gave us a load of good addresses to visit ! amongst which, a unique venue : le Bain des Paquis... for those who already know it, it's paradise, situated on the lake near the fountain, a sort of beach with a turkish bath and the best champagne fondue !

ma forêt enchantée

Il y a quelques jours je suis rentrée dans une autre décennie....
et pour l'occasion j'ai organisé une fête dans mon atelier.
J'ai eu envie de peindre une grande fresque, J'ai donc ressorti tous mes vieux tubes de peintures que j'avais rangé dans le fond de mon placard.
Lors de ma soirée j'ai fait des photos de mes invités déguisés devant cette forêt...
Le résultat est encore mieux que ce que j'imaginais!
J'en garderai un merveilleux souvenir.



A few days ago I tumbled into a new decade ....
and for the occasion I painted a forest on one wall of my studio for the birthday party celebrations.
I rooted out all my old tubes of paint which had been hidden away at the back of the cupboard.
At the party I took lots of photos of my friends in front of the forest dressed up for the occasion ...
The result was even better than I'd ever imagined ! I've got lots of happy memories.

mon appartement à moi

Il y a quelques mois les Editions de Paris m'ont recontacté avec un projet de livre sur les appartements de parisiennes.... je me suis prêtée au jeu et leur ai ouvert ma porte. Ca me fera un beau souvenir, d'autant plus que ma petite soeur Virginie, ouvre sa porte également !!
ah, les sisters caps, diront certains.... :)

A few months ago I was contacted by Les Editions de Paris with regard to the project of a book about Parisian girls' apartments ... I was raring to go and opened my door to them. It will be a great souvenir for me, even more so as my little sister Virginie opened the door to her apartment too !!
Ah, those Capman sisters, I can hear you saying .... :)

Here we are !!! I can at last show you the colouring and pasting book I designed and which is published by Mon Petit Art. I discovered it at the Maison & Objet trade show where it had just arrived from the printers ... once again a big thank you to Lucila ! for those of you who are not familiar with the rudiments, I'll soon be putting some photos of the inside pages on my blog.

Vendredi c'était un jour spécial... l'atelier s'est transformé en studio photo.
Valérie Archeno, la photographe avec qui je partage l'atelier a organisé une séance de photos "beauté homme".
il y a eu un défilé de jolis garçons. Evidemment je ne voulais pas rater ça!
j'ai fait un petit making-of de cette belle journée...


Last Friday was special ...our studio was turned into a photo workshop.
Valérie Archeno, the photographer with whom I share the studio had organised a photo session entitled "male beauty".
There was an endless stream of gorgeous young men. Evidently I didn't want to miss that !
I've concocted a short making-of this great day ...

BAZAROSCOPE # 2

Lundi 11 janvier c'était la 2ème session du Bazaroscope. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas le concept autour du concert de Katia Goldmann et Lui, plein de gens qui font plein de trucs. Un programme secret pour une soirée chaque fois différente où se croisent musiques, performances, expos... et cette fois ci il y avait des magiciens, une performance typo, en haut de l'échelle le grand à la platine, boyz in the food avec ses tapas et cocktails de folie....
notez bien la prochaine date LE 8 FEVRIER, on vous promet encore plein de surprises.


Monday 12th January was the second Bazaroscope event. For those of you who are not familiar with the concept, the concert of Katia Goldmann & Lui takes place surrounded by lots of people doing lots of things. A secret programme for an evening session which is different each time, where music, performance, exhibitions come together ... and this time there were magicians, a show of typography, perched on top of the ladders was the tall one with his record deck, boyz in the food with their tapas and crazy cocktails... take note of the next date 8th February, we promise you there'll be lots more surprises.
